The PRS S2 Special Semi-Hollow is designed for players who need a wide range of professional tones in a single instrument. Its pickup configuration includes two 58/15 LT humbuckers in the bass and treble positions, paired with a PRS Narrowfield in the middle. Combined with a 5-way blade switch and two mini-toggle coil-splits, this setup delivers twelve distinct pickup options. Players can move seamlessly between clear single-coil tones, vintage-inspired humbucker warmth, and everything in between, making it a reliable choice for both studio and stage use.
Built with a semi-hollow body featuring a carved maple top and mahogany back, the S2 Special Semi-Hollow produces natural resonance, sustain, and depth that enhance its tonal character. The 22-fret, 25" scale length Pattern Regular mahogany neck with a 10" radius rosewood fingerboard ensures comfortable playability across the entire range. Signature PRS bird inlays not only provide a refined aesthetic but also serve as practical position markers. This construction strikes an ideal balance between tonal richness, durability, and player comfort.
Hardware on the S2 Special Semi-Hollow is engineered for stability and reliability.
