As one of the leading brands in the world of Electric Guitar, Ibanez continue to reinvent and redefine what it means to be a modern high performance instrument, with their brand new Q (Quest) series they have achieved just that. With new developments in instrument technology, the prominence of more technical playing styles, and players’ desire for lighter, more portable instruments Ibanez have designed an entirely new concept, their "Quest" wasn't to just adapt an existing instrument into a headless design but to develop an entirely new guitar right from the ground up.
The QX52 features an resonant Nyatoh body finished in a super cool Black Flat, it looks super slick and feels great. It is super lightweight and thanks to the unique body design it feels great against the body.
With a Roasted Maple/Bubinga neck this guitar is stable and secure. The Parallel Wizard neck is 19mm thick all the way through the entire length. It provides an amazing fretting-hand experience for all players no matter your playing style. The Roasted Birdseye Maple fretboard is adorned with new custom designed Slanted Jescar Evo Gold frets, all of these frets are equally slanted at an 8-degree angle allowing for highly technical and intricate playing techniques. It also features a 508mm radius, Mother of Pearl off-set dot inlays and a 25.5" scale length.
High quality Ibanez tone comes courtesy of the new Q58 pickups, specifically designed for use with headless guitars. They provide incredible definition and sound great no matter your style. The lows are powerful without being muddy, and the highs are bright and clear, but never harsh. Thanks to the dyna-MIX 10 switching system this guitar features ten sound variations and can easily switch from humbucker and single coil modes with the mini switch. The power Tap mode provides a realistic single coil sound despite its two humbucker pickup layout.
Incredible tuning stability comes courtesy of a Mono tune bridge system and a custom string lock system. This series offers diverse and versatile features set to attract not only the modern, technical guitarist, but also players who may have never even considered a headless guitar before. Regardless of genre, Q (Quest) allows guitarists of every background to question the full scope of their creative possibilities.
