Martin Standard Series | D-28

Solid Sitka Spruce Top, Solid East Indian Rosewood Back & Sides

Sometimes innovation is in the details and this is certainly true with Martin's re-imagined D-28. After nearly a century at the helm, and as the quintessential workhorse of music legends like Hank Williams, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and so many more, Martin's legendary D-28 has been lovingly and artfully enhanced.

The all new D-28 blends the rich history of the guitar with Martin's newest and most heralded innovations. The almost 190 year old guitar maker has combined vintage appointments, including open gear tuners, an aged toner top, antique white accents, and a faux tortoise pickguard with a new neck profile to give D-28 enthusiasts a modern feel and comfortable playing experience. Martin has also added forward-shifted bracing to allow greater vibration of the top. The legend just got better!

Description

One of the most classic and desirable acoustic guitars of all time, the D-28 Reimagined from CF Martin, delivers an infamous tone that guitar players have heard and yearned after for almost a century.

Showing exactly the kind of quality that has kept Martin at the top of the game for over 100 years,  the Standard Series Reimagined range sees classic Martin design bought into the 21st century with the kind of appointment the modern player demands. High performance necks and updated internal bracing ensure a smooth playing and sounding guitar that retains all that classic Martin mojo.

With an incredible Sitka Spruce top you get a really dynamic and vibrant tone. Pair that with the East Indian Rosewood back and sides and you have a tonal dream team, its visually and tonally stunning. The 14th fret join allows for great access up the neck and a perfectly poised and balanced playing experience.

The neck is an absolute dream to play. With a High Performance Taper Modified Low Oval shape, 16" radius, 25.4" scale length and a 1 3/4" nut width, this Martin is supremely comfortable and smooth underhand. The Ebony fingerboard is the perfect partner for this neck; beautifully crafted its a real treat to play.

East Indian rosewood, ebony and Sitka spruce in the shape that started it all: the Dreadnought.
