But by some miracle it was miraculously returned to Frampton over 30 years later. Now the Gibson Custom Shop is incredibly proud to offer a VOS rendition of this awesome guitar.
This Les Paul features an Ultra Lightweight Mahogany construction, thanks to the 9-Hole weight relief you can enjoy the tonal benefits of Mahogany without having the worry about breaking your back, beautifully finished in an Ebony Nitrocellulose Lacquer which looks super slick and allows the body to resonate much more effectively compared to other finishes.
In classic Les Paul style we have a Mahogany neck with the super comfortable Peter Frampton Phenix profile, custom designed and modelled on the original, it is super comfortable and easy to navigate. The Ebony fingerboard is adorned with custom block inlays with Frampton's signature sand blasted into the 12th fret, alongside a 12" radius, 22 jumbo frets and of course a 24.75" scale length
In order to nail those iconic Frampton tones you need a pickup loadout up for the challenge, fitted with a trio of Custombucker pickups with master volume and tone shared by neck and bridge pickups and second volume and tone for the middle pickup. You can really sculpt this guitar to your own personal taste, it is super versatile and easy to love.
With a tune-o-matic bridge, stop bar tailpiece and grover kidney tuners along side gold hardware it both looks brilliant whilst staying stable and secure at all times. This is so much more than just enough signature, it's a piece of Rock 'n Roll history.
