Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this Godly status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so.

The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '69 Strat Relic is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.

A traditional Alder body is finished in the classic Black with a White pickguard, one of Fender's most popular combinations, it's a real beauty! Authentically aged, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. The thin nitro finish also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. Dale is the King of relic work at the custom shop and this certainly doesn't disappoint though!

The plain grain Maple neck has a smooth finish and a nitro lacquer finish. With a 9.5" radius and 21 jumbo frets, the '69 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The '69 Strat U profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing. With a 70's style reverse headstock, this guitar has a real Jimi Hendrix vibe to it.

With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop '65 Strat pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat.
