The Mercury is a traditional short-scale parlour guitar. The neck joins the body at the 12th- fret rather than the 14th- meaning that the strings are held at a slightly lower tension than a regular acoustic. Another benefit of the 12th fret is that the bridge is further from the soundhole. This results in the guitar being easier to play and making it sound much bigger then its size! Faith HiGloss series combine great looks with amazing tone.
The guitar features a Solid Mahogany Neck with Macassan Figured Ebony fingerboard, Solid Engelmann Spruce Top, Solid Rosewood back and sides, and a gorgeous Solid Maple Binding. Tonally this combination usually gives the guitar a bright and 'zingy' sound, whilst delivering brilliant clarity.
