Priced to clear - so no part exchanges can be considered at this price.
Introducing the 2014, J-15, a round-shoulder model for the masses. Handcrafted exclusively from North American solid tone woods, Sitka Spruce and American Walnut.
Every bit a Gibson, this new model is contracted in our Bozeman, Montana, facility with the same time-tested lathery techniques that make our guitars some of the most sought-after instruments in the world: dovetail neck-to-body joint secured with hide glue, scalloped bracing and a hand-sprayed nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
Body and Neck:
Beautiful American walnut is a highly figured tone wood that strikes a unique balance between the warmth of rosewood and the clarity of mahogany. The Sitka spruce top features traditional J-45 scalloped bracing. The two-piece maple neck features a walnut stringer and his hand-fitted neck to the body with a compound dovetail joint and secured with hide glue. Mutli-ply top binding, single-ply back binding and a double-ring rosette with unique Abalone composite accent.
Pickups and Electronics:
Natural acoustic power for intimate settings and an L.R. Baggs Element pickup for the stage.
Nickel mini-Grover Rotomatic tuners and traditional teardrop pickguard.
Each guitar includes a Gibson Standard hardshell case with fabric lined interior.
