We're really proud of how Colchester is looking now, and if you've not yet been you really should! Since opening our Colchester branch we've been able to secure the next door unit too and knock through, allowing us much needed warehouse space and an extension of the shop floor with a bass room, an acoustic room and generally more shop floor space.
Colchester is now the largest (and best) dedicated guitar shop in Essex, but what of our Braintree store you all know and love?
The plan is now to separate out what the 2 branches specialise in, Colchester is going to be our superstore selling everything across the board from the very affordable up to the very desirable. Colchester is also where we're going to be selling all bass guitars, a larger selection of amplifiers and accessories, but still selling some high end goodness you've come to expect from Peach.
Braintree is going to become even more incredible than it already has been up to now, we've cleared out most guitars under £1000 and from now on we're going to be specialising in only the finest examples of the brands we carry in Braintree, so expect only the highest quality instruments, the best boutique amplifiers and generally a high end experience. This means Braintree will be where we'll keep the one offs, the custom shops and the rarities.
But with Braintree looking a little like a cobweb covered shed, we're beginning the process of having a refit to make the Braintree store look the business. We're putting in a booth near the front of the shop for customers to try out amps and guitars with some privacy, and a re-organise of the rest of the shop with a serious lick of paint, some fresh carpet and when we're finished, restocking the shop to be even more full of the high end pieces that will make our Braintree store an even finer destination store to pick up something special, or simply drool over the finest instruments and amps that money can buy.
