New Private Stock PRS guitars at Peach
Posted by Ryan

Paul Reed Smith has this incredible ability to craft guitars that just blow you away, and on Friday we took delivery of possibly the finest Private Stock PRS guitars I have ever seen. The tops on these guitars are just incredible, even our high quality studio shots don’t do them justice, they really have to be seen to be fully appreciated.

The Private Stock Custom 24 demonstrates the highest quality of craftsmanship, renowned for supreme tone and effortless playability, this example is a cut above the rest. Built to the highest possible standards using hand selected woods, this really is the height of modern guitar construction.

Sporting the most amazing Quilted Maple top, everything about this guitar is meticulously planned and executed to perfection. The Tiger Eye finish is so vivid and the quilt so deep it’s like staring into the abyss, it’s beautiful. The Figured Mahogany body is rich, resonant and tonally versatile, these woods perfectly complement each other, it really is the epitome of high end performance.

The ‘80s inspired Figured Mahogany neck features the PRS Pattern regular neck-carve and a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. The Yellow Dino Bone Bird inlays are the perfect choice for this guitar, the marble effect birds providing that signature PRS appeal.

Equipped with a Gold/Nickel PRS tremolo, the Custom 24 is always perfectly intonated and responsive to your playing. Flawless tuning stability comes courtesy of the Phase III locking tuners with Brazilian Rosewood buttons. A pair of 58/15 LT pickups deliver just the punch that this guitar needs, with a whole range of tonal variations, it features a push/pull, coil tapped tone control for even greater tonal versatility.

Joining the Custom 24 at Peach is the PRS Private Stock McCarty 594. Named after Paul Reed Smith's mentor Ted McCarty, the McCarty 594 perfectly fuses the vintage design we all love with the modern features and functionality we crave, a flawless blend of authentic styling and modern craftsmanship.

Sporting another pristine Quilted Maple top, this time finished in the incredible Charcoal Smoked Burst, this 594 benefits from a Figured Mahogany body for a tonewood match made in heaven.

The Figured Mahogany neck features the PRS Pattern Vintage neck-carve. The same width as the full Pattern neck, the Pattern Vintage is a little thicker front to back, with an asymmetrical carve there is a touch more on the bass side of the neck, and a touch less on the treble side. The 24.594" scale length is a little longer than usual and is famously where the model gets its 594 name. The Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is immaculate and boasts Curly Maple binding for a real premium aesthetic. No PRS neck would be complete without the signature Bird inlays and the White Turquoise design complements the 594 perfectly.

Equipped with a Gold/Nickel PRS 2pc stoptail bridge and a genuine bone nut, the McCarty 594 is always perfectly intonated while incredible tuning stability comes courtesy of the Phase III locking tuners. All these luxury appointments would be irrelevant though if it wasn't equipped with a pickup selection to match. A pair of 58/15 LT pickups offers everything this guitar needs, with a whole range of tonal options, the 594 is a powerhouse both on stage and in the studio. Traditionally wired, it features 2 push/pull, coil tapped tone controls for the ultimate tone machine.

Both guitars retail at £8999 and come housed in a PRS Private Stock Brown leather hardcase, we have been waiting on these beauts for a while now and they haven’t disappointed, they were well worth the wait!
