One of the most iconic Gretsch guitars ever is Malcolm Young's classic Jet, The Beast and this G6131SMY is a fitting tribute to it. AC/DC's Malcolm young was a true guitar hero, one of the finest and most influential rhythm guitarists of all time.
With a Maple top on a double cutaway chambered Mahogany body, this Jet is finished in Firebird Red. By letting air resonate between the top and the body through its chambered Mahogany construction, this guitar has a super lively and articulate tone.
The Mahogany neck features an Ebony board, it's comfortable underhand and offers a great position for both heavy chordal work and more delicate lead playing.
Loaded with a FilterTron you get vintage growl with superb clarity. This was the basis for some of Malcolm's most famous riffs and really does capture the essence of Malcolm Young's fiery rock n roll spirit!
This guitar is used and does show signs of use, there is some scratching under the bridge and around the pickup, while the bridge pins are slightly gnarled where someone has tried to tighten them incorrectly. It's all cosmetic though and doesn't affect the sound or playability of this super guitar!
