The Gibson Les Paul is one of the most iconic guitars ever put into production, with such a rich history and timeless appeal, the bar has been set pretty high. The Gibson Custom ‘58 Les Paul Standard M2M Dirty Lemon Fade is a guitar that builds on over 60 years of innovation and development and pushes ever further forward. This is a great addition to our left handed range, we try our best to maintain a wide selection of left handed guitars and this is truly one of the best!
With an ultra-light Mahogany body, this Les Paul benefits from a majestic hand-picked Flame Maple top for the ultimate tonewood partnership. It really is a stunning top, with such figuring and detail it is Artist level quality and a real statement piece. Rich and super resonant it offers premium tone and timeless aesthetics, while the Dirty Lemon Fade finish, inspired by CC#1, looks a million dollars and really allows the wood to breathe and the natural tone to sing through.
The 1 piece Mahogany neck is topped with a crisp Rosewood fingerboard with classic Gibson Trapezoid inlays, this guitar looks every bit the real deal. With a 24.75” scale length and Jescar FW50078 frets, it retains that classic Les Paul feel. The ABR-1 bridge and light weight long stud tailpiece are aged nickel for an authentic vintage vibe.
The defining feature of the Gibson Custom ‘58 Les Paul M2M is the custom wound Gibson Custom Bucker pickups. According to Gibson these are some of the most historically accurate PAF clones on the market, with an ultra-rich harmonic quality; it's as close as you can get to the classic Les Paul tone. These have the popular Peter Green wiring, wired out of phase they deliver a warm, more trebly tone. Green’s iconic ’59 famously had the neck pickup in back to front so the poles are facing the opposite direction, here, the pickup has been installed the correct way up for aesthetic reasons. We can however flip it if you desire the real Peter Green experience.
Perfect for collectors and player alike, this Gibson Custom Les Paul is testament to the timeless design crafted by Les Paul all those years ago.
