The Alder body is finished in a really authentically aged Gold over Pink Paisley. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further, it also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively. The wear patterns are incredible, so genuine and authentic, Dale Wilson is considered the King of relic work at the Custom Shop and it's definitely on display here!
The Quartersawn Maple neck is real comfortable. With a '60s Oval C profile, 7.25" - 9.5" compound radius and 6105 frets its super resonant and feels incredible underhand.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '69 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a hand-wound Twisted Tele' pickup at the neck and a HW '67 at the bridge, it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection.
