We've just received this guitar into stock on a very nice deal, it had been stuck in a warehouse at Fender, so when it was offered to us we decided to price it to sell and have passed on the savings! This guitar would normally sell at this price on the second hand market.
Finished in a sweet heavily aged Nitro Desert Sand over 3 Tone Sunburst, which gives it that heavily aged, road worn look, that wouldn't look out of place in a Texas Juke joint.
With a heavily worn maple neck, which feels super smooth to play, we also have the welcome addition of Medium Jumbo frets and a bend friendly 9.5" radius.
The Alder/Maple combination gives a great combination of low end and top end chime, which can be missing from alder/rw and ash/mn guitars. I really rate this configuration.
The Pickups are "Fat 50's" which are superb slightly overwound set of 50's pickups, which sound great clean but very punchy when the drive is applied.
