Description

These guitars are worth a second look, if we had to pick a phrase to describe them, it would probably be 'Champagne for beer money'. I don't recall seeing specs like this on a guitar this affordable in a long time.

Shergold is a name some of you might remember, they were a fairly popular British brand back in the 70's started by a couple of Burns London employees, they gained some popularity with bands like Genesis, Cardiacs, The Meteors and New Order/Joy Division playing them. Sadly the original version of the brand died along with their creator in the early 90's, but the legendary James Patrick Eggle has stepped in, and done a complete redesign on the original vintage designs, bringing them into the modern age with some fairly hefty changes, and squeezing a huge spec into a small price.

These guitars sport some lovely specs. Solid Mahogany body, Solid Rosewood neck, Tusq nut, locking tuners, and proper USA made Seymour Duncan pickups.

This one is loaded with a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck and a Seymour Duncan TB-4 in the bridge which also can be controlled with a 3 position switch and a push/pull coil split.
