The Godin L.R Baggs Acousticaster was one of the original hybrid electro acoustic guitars, debuting all the way in '89, it opened the doors for a whole new generation of guitar innovation. These days Godin are best known for their incredible range of Multiac guitars and it's easy to see how they developed from the Acousticaster.
With a Maple body, this guitar benefits from an Ebony bridge and a slick single white bound edge. The neck is a Fender style bolt on, crafted from Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard, it offers a great platform for acoustic tone with electric playability. This model was a favourite of Mark Knopfler during the '90s and definitely a strong stage guitar.
With an under saddle pickup, controlled by the front mounted sliders, it is fast, responsive and delivers a genuine acoustic like clarity.
This guitar is used and does feature a few signs of use, there are several dings and scrapes across the body and some buckle rash to the back. It's a nice guitar to play and any defects are purely cosmetic, they do not affect the tone or playability of this super versatile guitar.
