Gibson are the kings when it comes to hollowbody guitars, since launching the ES-335 back in the '50's Gibson have been refining and improving hollowbody design.
The Gibson Memphis 1959 ES-335 Hand Selected TB is a modern day take on a vintage masterpiece. With timeless Gibson styling and authentic vintage appointments, it's a real statement piece.
The hand selected figured Maple body is finished in Vintage Natural VOS Hi-Gloss lacquer and offers incredible sustain and stunning aesthetics. With a Maple centre block and Adirondack Spruce bracing it offers great acoustic projection and stability. The bracing is set using genuine hot hide glue, this vintage technique is said to increase tonal response when compared with modern synthetic glue, just adding to this guitars tone monster status. The 1 piece Mahogany neck features a bound Rosewood fingerboard, traditional C profile, 12" radius and classic vintage Gibson pearloid dot inlays.
A pair of Gibson MHS humbuckers delivers authentic Gibson PAF tones, slightly underwound and with unbalanced coils, the Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers offer great tonal variety.
This '59 ES-335 is a real premium take on a vintage classic, beautifully crafted and meticulously finished, it's a real winner.
