The Fender Custom Shop do some pretty special things, and with the Fender Custom Shop '63 Tele Journeyman Relic Left Handed they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.
With the appearance of a vintage guitar this Custom Shop model benefits from all the playability and reliability of a brand new one. The Alder body is finished in a Sonic Blue Journeyman finish. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The Maple neck features a 10" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. The 60's style C shape and 21 medium jumbo frets offers a really comfortable playing experience, while the AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard adds a touch of luxury.
With the Telecaster design being considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '63 Telecaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. With a duo of hand-wound 51 Tele' pickups it boasts a versatile and well balanced selection. These single coils were hand-wound by Fender pickup master Josefina Campos. Josefina was apprentice to Fender legend Abigail Ybarra and knows all the secrets to unlock the tonal potential of any guitar.
This guitar is used but in great condition, complete with Custom Shop hardcase this is a great guitar for left handed players.
