Dale Wilson is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this high status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so!
The Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt '60 Stratocaster is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.
Despite having the appearance of a vintage guitar this Custom Shop model is anything but! The Alder body is finished in a Heavy Relic Lake Placid Blue nitrocellulose lacquer, period correct, this finish will continue to wear beautifully and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The Quarter-sawn Maple neck is topped with a AAA-Grade Rosewood fingerboard in the traditional Stratocaster combination. The large C neck has a compound 9.50' - 12' radius and benefits from Jescar 6100 jumbo frets. Comfortable and perfectly balanced this Strat is just begging to be played.
A trio of hand wound Fender Fat '60s single coils provide stunning clarity and multiple tonal possibilities. With a reverse wound in the middle position you get all that glorious Stratocaster spank and sparkle. This isn't just a collector's piece, it's a monster tone machine!
Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see why Dale Wilson is so highly regarded.
Guitars of this calibre don't come around everyday, so best to move quickly on this one. Unfortunately we cannot accept part exchange on this guitar.
