The Fender Custom Shop always deliver guitars of the absolute highest quality and NAMM 2018 was THE place to be to check out this year's incredible new models. This Custom Shop 1959 Stratocaster is a real winner!
The Alder body is finished in a delicious Aged Olympic White Journeyman. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The Quartersawn Flame Maple neck has a super smooth finish and an AAA-grade Rosewood fingerboard. With a 7.25"-9.5" compound radius and 21 frets, the '59 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a '59 Esquire C neck shape. It's supremely comfortable and well balanced.
With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop '59 pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. With a crisp harmonic content and a really refined and precise tone, the '59s are some of the most versatile single coils around, a great choice for this guitar!
Yet another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
