The Takamine Dual EF591 is a highly collectable acoustic guitar which was initially released back in the 1980s. Most famously used by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, the Dual EF591 was a top of the range, limited run that utilised a unique pickup configuration for a real unique sound.
With a standard Piezo style pickup under the bridge, the last 2 frets have been rounded off and feature a cleverly disguised humbucker pickup. The EQ lets you blend both pickups and gives you full control over your sound. It also has 2 separate jack inputs so you can send a stereo output.
With a rich and organic tone, it is equally at home strumming big, brash chords or delicately fingerpicking, it really is a versatile guitar.
This guitar is used and does feature some pretty heavy scratching to the top and back, although visible when viewing up close it doesn't really notice when playing. The wear is purely cosmetic though and does not affect the playability or tone of the guitar.
