Serious players are going to appreciate the finess, tonal colours and dynamic range that this cannon of a guitar is capable of.
Made from solid Cocobolo, which is a tonewood closer to the quality of Brazilian rosewood of yesteryear maybe the 40's & 50s, before stocks of the best stuff had been used up. It arguably is better than Brazilian Rosewood in that it's an even harder Rosewood making it even more ideal as a tonewood, and aesthetically it can't be beaten.
The top on this guitar is made from Redwood, which is probably closest to a Cedar tone, but with much more punch and less of a choking point, still ideal for fingestyle tones, but capable of heavy strumming happily as well.
As with all Lowden guitars the build quality on this instrument is second to none and the resulting tone just screams pure class, putting similar priced models from the competition to shame. If you've never tried a Lowden before, this needs to be played to be believed.
These guitars are just getting better and better. Ok, they're not cheap but look at the quality of the instrument in comparison to what you have to pay now for a USA made high-end acoustic guitar of this calibre.
