Marshall Amplifiers have been at the heart of guitar music for over 50 years and there is nothing quite like the sight of a wall of Marshall stacks behind your favourite player to get you inspired! The 6101LE was designed to celebrate the companies 30th Anniversary back in 1992 and it has become something of a cult classic in recent times.
Launched at Winter NAMM '92 it was met with huge critical acclaim. Not only did it sound great but it looked good too. With a blue vinyl finish, all brass plated panel and Marshall script logo, this was an amp that screamed glamour.
This 100 watt, all valve, triple channel beast houses 11 valves: seven ECC83s and four EL34s across three independent channels, each with their own controls for EQ, volume and individual gain controls for Crunch and Lead channels. Channel 1, the clean channel, has a mid-shift button which adds a glassier tone to the classic Marshall sound. Channel 2 features 3 modes, each representing an iconic predecessor. Mode A has a tone similar to a Super Lead/JTM45, Mode B gives the amp a classic JCM800 sound and Mode C brings the heavy metal sound from the JCM900 amps. Channel 3 reaches unparalleled levels of gain with contour switches and gain boost.
It's a mega amp and it has been really well looked after. It comes complete with the original paperwork, soft cover, footswitch and various Marshall service receipts. So if you are in the market for a mega little combo, it doesn't get much better than the Marshall 6101LE!
