The Friedman JJ Jerry Cantrell Signature amplifier head is guaranteed to become a modern classic. This amp head is the result of a collaboration between Friedman and Jerry Cantrell, the lead guitarist from Alice in Chains. For many years, David Friedman has been helping to build and modify amplifiers to meet the exacting tonal demands of Cantrell. We are delighted to stock this signature edition which is guaranteed to become an instant favourite with working musicians.
The JJ Jerry Cantrell Signature Amplifier features an impressive 100 watt output. This substantial output comes courtesy of the EL34-based power section and ensures that this signature amplifier doesn't pull any punches. The Jerry Cantrell signature head features four 12AX7 tubes for the pre-amp and four EL34 for the power amp. The well-laid out front panel incorporates tone controls for bass, mid, treble and presence (dirty channel) and volume and 3-way bright switch (clean channel). Other features include a JBE voice switch, FX loop, Impedance selector switch and line out with level control.
This amplifier truly epitomises years of research to develop an amp to satisfy the crushing sound of one of the most particular musicians in the business. Now this tone is available to musicians of all abilities and genres thanks to the guys at Friedman. Friedman Signature amplifiers are hand-wired in the USA and use custom US-made transformers.
