The Echoplex EP-3 tape echo is famous for it's lovely and warm and organic sounding voice, and was a well known compontent to some important tones from the 60's and 70's alike. However the downside to those classic pedals is they're now worth more than their weight in gold, are are as about as reliable as a chocolate teapot, not to mention larger than most modern pedal boards!
So here's Dunlops answer to that problem, an affordable, small and reliable little alternative! Gorgeous tones with a simple control setup and an all analog dry path. Delay can be adjusted from 4 up to 750ms, Sustrain sets the number of repeats and and volume does what you'd expect it to.
This pedal comes with a neat feature, what is referred to as an 'age mode'. This allows you to change the out of the box clear, clean and calibrated echo sound into something all the more modulation and tape distress and saturation filled.
Also sporting tap tempo functionality, for up to a whopping 4 seconds of delay time.
This is a fine pedal from Dunlop and all the joy of a tape echo, without the tape.
