JHS pedals are fast becoming the go-to guys for super cool, innovative stomp boxes. The Bonsai is a fresh NAMM 2018 release and were excited to get our hands and ears on one!
Overdrive is generally a staple on most players boards, with what seems like an infinite amount of different drives available, it can often be difficult to narrow it down to just a few essentials. The Bonsai is designed to deliver nine different variations of the most popular drive ever, the Tubescreamer.
Using a simple rotary knob you can easily switch through the best of the best, the chosen nine were painstakingly replicated and perfectly recreated in one robust little housing. This is no digital imitation, its the result of activating components specific to each circuit.
The nine screamers packed in this little box of tricks are: OD-1 1977, TS-808 1979, TS-9 1982, MSL, Power or L Series 1985, TS-10 1986, Exar OD-1 1989, TS-7 (+mode) 1999, ,Keeley Mod Plus 2002, JHS Strong Mod 2008.
This pedal requires standard 9V DC Negative power, consumes less than 100mA, and measures 2.2"x4.8"x1.6".
